Overview
WiSK works on the reliable,
Motorola® developed ReFLEX™ protocol. The design of the
whole system is based on the two-way telemetric
operations in a wireless pager network. WiSK leverages
the wide presence of existing pager networks to form a
reliable communication channel with your kiosks placed
in various commercial locations. The entire WiSK system
can be divided into three simple elements:

WiSK enabled kiosks
A proprietary software and an
Advanced Messaging Unit (ReFLEX™ hardware card) are
installed on to your existing kiosks to upgrade them
into WiSK enabled kiosks. WiSK enabled kiosks are
capable to seamlessly receive or send data to the
wireless telemetry/pager network. All it takes to
convert your existing kiosk into a WiSK enabled kiosk is
a few hours of component and software installation. |

Wireless Network
WiSK operates on an existing telemetry/pager wireless
network, which helps it to keep costs at bay. These
wireless telemetry/pager networks are FCC approved and
are the best in the industry both in terms of quality of
transmission and coverage. |

WiSK
Console & Software
WiSK is compatible with any MS Windows based PC or
server. WiSK uses Village Software’s powerful software
library to encode/decode messages and process
information. A set of instructions programmed into the
AMU encode and encrypt data, and maintain security,
before transmitting it via the wireless network. This
encrypted and encoded data is decrypted and decoded by
Village Software’s time-tested proprietary software. The
whole process takes place in a Village Software server.
In addition to the decoding and decrypting software,
WiSK uses data processing and reporting software
compatible with any web browser. This makes obtaining
reporting from WiSK-enabled PCs simple and
cost-effective. WiSK ‘s data processing software allows
it to generate powerful reports from the information
collected from your kiosks. These reports will be
customized per the requirements of the end user. All
command and control features along with reporting
functionality are built into the WiSK console. |
